We are a not-for-profit recreational angling club, through a committee of volunteers elected by member we provide angling facilities at Mirehouse Ponds. An old coal board water reservoir now consisting of 2 ponds, a 2.4 acre general coarse and match water and a 4 acre specimen water located on the western edge of the Mirehouse housing estate.

The "The Top Pond" nearest carparks is a 2.4acrea - 32 peg match/pleasure fishery  providing good sport with a mixture of species - Bream, skimmers, roach, perch, tench, rudd, barbel, chub and F1 hybrid carp forming the stock.

The second water "The Bottom Pond" a larger 4.2 acre 42 peg water, (remanence of the old 10 acre reservoir), is more of a "specimen" type water containing carp to double figures, bream to over 7lb, Rudd and Roach to 2lb and perch to 3lb. this also provides plenty of sport with smaller silvers for the pleasure angler who doesn't mind the extra walk.

Most pegs on both waters are accessible by disabled or mobility impaired persons however these paths do not encompass the entire  water bodies.

Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities on the site.
